How do you launch the first ever World Cup NFC-connected football to a challenge-driven audience who are hungry for fame? 

You show them that the ball is their key to connect with the pros. 

For the 2018 World Cup, adidas was launching the World’s first connected football. Powered by an NFC chip, this ball connects players all around the world who have it. Once they’re connected, they can share their tricks, challenge each other and play for the most important title; social fame.

We decided to launch the campaign with a film that puts the pros and the creators on the same playing field, giving them a space to share their skills and one-up each other in terms of their tricks.

Through a fast-paced, high intensity film, we showcased the new ball and what our pros and creators could do once they get their hands on it. All they have to do is tap to connect, connect to create and create to stand out.
