Surreal Heads
Drawing hair for me isn’t easy. Luckily, drawing random, detailed shapes comes naturally.
Surreal Heads was a series that was a way of killing time between work days while at home. Each one probably represented things that were changing for me since leaving home in 2010, be it new cities I had lived in and visited, the ever-changing concept of time, or concentric circles of thought. It was also what started detailed pattern drawings, buildings and cities for me.
I still can’t draw hair well. Faces I’m still working on. Patterns though, that’s my jam.
The work in progress.
